Dear Yuletide Writer,

Wishing you a very happy Yuletide! I’m super excited to see what you are inspired to create, dear writer, and I will be honoured, excited and thrilled to receive and read anything for any of the following fandoms. I hope you have a wonderful Yuletide experience and season!

Over on AO3 I’m: DestielsDestiny and on Tumblr I’m: grippedbydestielfever.

Regarding treats, I would be delighted and thrilled to receive treats if any of these fandoms, prompts, etc. speak to you, lovely creators!

List of DNWs:

My biggest one is a focus on sexual content, such as porn, PWP kind of thing. Romantic relationships/content are fine, and sex scenes/sexual content are also fine, as long as they are not the main focus of the story.

No unhappy endings, please.

No non-con and no incest or underage (sexual content/contact of any kind, with anyone, where one or more of the characters is seventeen or younger) content, please.

No descriptions of torture.

No descriptions of child death.

No major character death.

No infidelity between any main pairings.

What I love, in no particular order:

Pretty much my favourite trope ever is found family. I love stories that explore intense emotional intimacy, particularly within platonic/friendship/familial relationships. Families of choice, exploring how those dynamics develop, the support and the love, as well as the angst and the feels.

I’m also a huge hurt/comfort fan. This can be physical, psychological, emotional, anything really. Stories where a character struggles with self-esteem/self-worth issues, particularly about their place in the family/relationship make my heart break into bits, and then when the other characters find out and comfort ensues, my heart aches with joy.

Comfort fics are always all the sweeter when hurt/angst has come before, whether shown or just mentioned.

I’m a complete sucker for physical hurt/comfort, your classic character A is injured, and character B find them/helps them/saves them. Particularly if there is a medical aspect involved, such as character B being a doctor (see fandoms below 😊).

In terms of physical hurt:

A character being impaled by something is a weird favourite of mine.

A character having a chronic illness, such as asthma.

I have a weakness for stories where a character hides an injury.

Characters having nightmares, hiding nightmares, being comforted after nightmares.

Soft fics, particularly with cuddles—platonic cuddles, romantic cuddles, just all the cuddles, cuddle piles, all the hugs!

Bed-sharing, clothes sharing, intense hugs.

Physical affection, particularly platonic—shoulder pats, hugs, forehead kissing, touching foreheads together, etc.

More intense/darker themes are also welcome, whether pain or trauma or grief or illness. With h/c, I love fics about injuries/injury recovery, the more medical details the better.

I love stories with intense, over the top drama, whether conversations and emotions or action, but I equally adore quiet, contemplative fics.

Enclosed locations—trapped in a location, have to share a room, trapped in an elevator, all live in one house together, anything of that sort.

Characters being epic, particularly epically competent. Competence kink for the win!

Reunions, in any shape or form. Reunited after a long separation, soulmate fics where they find each other after years of searching, long-lost/unknown family members, any scenario really.

Ghosts—characters that can see ghosts, characters as ghosts, hauntings, ghosts and mysteries.

Historical detail, historical documents, descriptions of paper.

Mysteries, investigations.

Daemon AUs, anything where the characters have daemons.

I also like vivid descriptions of scenery/landscape/wildlife.

Other things I love reading about, in no particular order:

Fluff, fantasy AUs, steampunk AUs, period AUs, non-sexual kink, non-sexual d/s and discipline, soulmate AUs, fics with pets, kidfic, neurodiversity and neurodiverse characters and themes, LGBTQIA+ characters and themes, cuddling, platonic bedsharing, first meeting AUs, canon divergence AUs, polyamory, characters on the ace spectrum.

All the details/ideas/prompts I suggest for each fandom are entirely optional, I will love and adore whatever story you create, dear yuletide writer, please follow your passion and bliss and have a wonderful yuletide experience!

But I offer the above and the following as suggestions and ideas, in case they speak to you!

Fandoms:

Murder Rooms: The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes

Characters: Joseph Bell, Arthur Conan Doyle

This series and these characters are continual sources of joy for me, and I would read and adore anything and everything with them and their found family relationship in it. They are each other’s missing puzzle piece, each other’s light in the darkness of grief and loss, for all that they often cannot admit it, even to themselves.

In terms of specific ideas/suggestions:

One of my favourite moments of the series is when Bell takes Turnevine to task for how he treated Doyle, with Doyle watching with almost expectant delight the entire time. I would love to see some of the moments that led to Doyle developing that faith in Bell’s earnest regard and protective concern for him. Basically, any excuse for protective Bell 😊

Or their version of a SH case fic—I was rewatching the Granada version of the Second Stain recently, and the mental image of Bell poking around floorboards looking for missing documents while Warner looks on in bemused bewilderment and Doyle looks on in amused pride makes me smile :)

Another favourite moment is the scene in White Knight’s Stratagem where Doyle reveals his ruse to Bell—watching Bell go from heartbroken and despairing to focused and hopeful is a thing of beauty. And the pride in his eyes when he looks at Doyle there…. A story that explores that dynamic, what Doyle has learned from Bell and how he is protective of the doctor in turn, would be super interesting, particularly from Bell’s perspective.

A paranormal and/or gothic setting, and how that impacts Doyle and Bell’s characters. How would they interact with ghosts? Caught in a rainstorm in a remote location, and strange lights appear on the horizon?

Or a powered AU—what if Bell was telepathic, for example? Or Doyle could see glimpses of the future? I’ve written stories for them where everyone has wings, but I’m always eager to see more interpretations of that trope. Or, in the heartbreaking category, when one of them (Bell or Doyle) looks at people, they see their death date hanging above them. Or, on a brighter note, Doyle is transformed/transforms into an animal (puppy, bird, snake?) and goes to the one place he knows he will be safe. How long does it take Bell to figure it out, and is Doyle’s animal form small enough to ride around in the doctor’s pockets?

Bookish (TV)

Characters: Gabriel Book, Edmund Kind

This show broke my heart, and made me laugh, and cry. I was incredibly excited for the character of Mr. Kind from the moment I saw the poster for the third episode, wondering what his relationship with Book would be, and the episode certainly delivered :)

I’m a sucker for second chance romance, and for relationships with layers of history, and the episode gives us both so much and so little. How did Book and Kind meet? Did Edmund know Felix as well? What would the development of a relationship between Book and Mr. Kind look like? I’d love a scenario that gets Edmund out of the Walsingham (is it possible to be in a toxic relationship with a hotel??), perhaps as far as Archangel Lane? I wonder how Mr. Kind feels about running an antiques shop. There is that vacancy that’s just opened up...

The thing that lives rent free in my head about these two? That in the entire series, Edmund Kind is the only one who calls Book Gabriel.

Shogun (TV 2024)

Characters: Yoshii Toranaga, John Blackthorne

I loved everything about the show, and the interactions between Toranaga and Blackthorne fascinated me to no end. The assassin scene, the diving scene, and their scenes in the final episode of the first season in particular. I’ve checked in various rewatches, and as far as I can tell, Toranaga stopping Blackthorne’s attempted seppuku is the only time Toranaga initiates physical contact with another character, besides his infant son and his hawk.

I would adore anything that explores their interactions, during the series or beyond. Some suggestions/ideas:

Missing moment, showing the race between Toranaga and Blackthorne after their impromptu diving lesson.

What were Toranaga and Blackthorne thinking during the attempted seppuku scene—what did Toranaga mean by the shoulder pat, what did Blackthorne think of it (he looks torn between utter confusion and the beginnings of awed respect there, imo).

A moment many years later, seeing how their relationship has developed (does Toranaga ever tell him about the whole ship burning thing?).

“Because he makes me laugh” and the wealth of potential meaning behind that statement.

In general, I find the early development of their relationship, how they got to know each other, and their relationship grew, fascinating. Something I’ve wondered about is the what if scenario of an alternate first meeting. How would their dynamic develop differently if they’d met earlier, or later (whether by a day or a year or a decade)?

One thing I’ve toyed with imagining but never quite been able to picture—how would a modern AU of them interact? How would they meet? How would the dynamic change in the 21st century?

A paranormal and/or gothic setting, and how that impacts Doyle and Bell’s characters. How would they interact with ghosts? Caught in a rainstorm in a remote location, and strange lights appear on the horizon?

Or a powered AU—what if Bell was telepathic, for example? Or Doyle could see glimpses of the future?

The Secret Garden (1993)

Characters: Archibald Craven, Mary Lennox, Colin Craven

This version of the Secret Garden is one of my ultimate comfort watches, particularly the ending. I love the found family relationship that is forming between Archibald, Mary, and Colin at the end of the movie.

I’d love to see what happens next for them—how does Archibald adjust to being a present father in not one but two children’s lives, particularly two children with different forms of neglect and abandonment issues. How does Mary adjust to having a parental figure that actually notices she’s alive, how does Colin adjust to having a relationship with the father that has avoided him for a decade.

Soft moments, hurt/comfort moments, the children showing Archibald around the garden, Archibald telling the children about their mothers, Mary and Collin meeting Archibald’s mastiffs properly.

Blade Runner (Movies)

Characters: K| Joe, Rick Deckard

The found family feels.

The angst, the h/c. Joe surviving, finding a family, a father and a sister.

Rescuing Deckard’s dog.

Details of patching Joe up, removing his tracker.

Can replicants suffer from hypothermia?

Deckard’s gruff but caring manner, Joe trying to figure out what to do with a father figure.

Fandoms (in no particular order):

Murder Rooms: The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes

Characters: Joseph Bell, Arthur Conan Doyle

Where do I find the words. I actually no longer remember how I stumbled upon this series, whether it was through my adoration of all things Ian Richardson or my ever-burning passion for everything Sherlock Holmes or something else entirely. It might have been one of those happy accidents that were want to happen when public libraries were still a Thing where I live.

Whatever the reason, it’s been years and my obsession with this woefully short series has yet to dim. I suspect it never will. Writing for this fandom is hands down the highlight of my Yuletide season, and always prompts a rewatch. All of which to say, anything involving this world and these characters will be cherished and adored forever. But my absolute favourite thing is the father/son, found family relationship gold that is Joe Bell and Arthur Doyle.

H/C, all the H/C, particularly comforting Bell and hurt Doyle, but anything with them being soft and caring towards each other is gorgeous <3

One of my favourite moments of the series is when Bell takes Turnevine to task for how he treated Doyle, with Doyle watching with almost expectant delight the entire time. I would love to see some of the moments that led to Doyle developing that faith in Bell’s earnest regard and protective concern for him. Basically, any excuse for protective, bamf Bell 😊

I’m intensely into water imagery and water rescues, so anything where one or the other of them falls into a body of water or has to rescue the other, or they rescue each other.

In terms of specific prompts, I find the early development of their relationship, how they got to know each other, and their relationship developed, very intriguing. An alternate first meeting would be a really intriguing concept. How would their dynamic develop differently if they’d met earlier, or later (whether by a day or a year or a decade)?

One thing I’ve toyed with imagining but never quite been able to picture—how would a modern AU of them interact? How would they meet? How would the dynamic change in the 21st century?

I’ve also always loved the idea of them as platonic soulmates, including soulmate marks, etc.

What is Innes’ perspective on the Dr. Bell’s role in his brother’s life, in both their lives? What was it like growing up with the doctor as a tangential but crucial part of his world?

This is a bit out there, but what if Arthur is somehow turned into a child for a time, how would Bell react? How would he react to Bell? The potential for heartbreaking levels of both feels and cuteness…

Not sure how I first thought of this, but lately I’ve been intrigued by what colour Joe Bell’s lightsaber would be, if they existed in a Star Wars AU.

A scenario where they share clothing? Or gift each other clothing? Scarf? Soft gloves?

Master and Command: The Far Side of the World (2003)

Characters: Jack Aubrey, Stephen Maturin

Two words. Jack Whump.

Their relationship, in the books and in the film, is one of endless fascination for me. Their love of learning, in different ways, their music, their pet names for each other!

But I’m a sucker for whump and h/c at heart, and Stephen’s work as a doctor is one which holds even more endless fascination for me, so the more whumped/hurt Jack is the better, particularly if there is a focus on Stephen fixing him afterwards!!!

Because I’m somewhat evil with torturing characters, scenarios where Jack requires intense medical intervention (broken limb needs setting, impaled on something, infected limb needs to be amputated) would be incredible. And all the feels surrounding that on Stephen’s part.

Or something quiet and gentle, the two exploring a new piece of music together. Sharing a drink, a meal.

An AU where Stephen finally learned to swim, and whatever extraordinary circumstances prompted that.

An AU where they have daemons, how would that go at sea.

Their first kiss? First hug? First time sharing a bed?

Adventure Series –Enid Blyton

Characters: Bill Cunningham, Allie Mannering, Jack Trent, Lucy-Ann Trent

I grew up reading these books, and while they have a lot of problematic elements, so say the least, the characters remain very close to my heart as a cherished memory of childhood.

I adore the found family (literally) dynamics of the books, and I would particularly adore a story from the parents’ perspective about the family they have gained, and the two children they have adopted as their own.

Perhaps a story focusing on how Jack and Lucy-Ann were officially adopted.

The Hunt for Red October (1990)

Characters: I’m happy with any or all of the characters nominated this year.

This film is probably in my top five fav films ever. I love the relationship between Ramius and Jack that we see in the film, the intensity and the stakes, but also the humour and the trust, oh the trust is glorious!

All of the hugs. Ramius hugging Jack, Jack hugging Ramius, Mancuso hugging them, Greer hugging all of them. Just all the hugs.

Ramius in the softest of sweaters, and cuddles ensuing.

Missing scene fics—how do Jack and Ramius get back to the bridge, what happens in the immediate aftermath while they get the Red October to that river.

The softer and more comforting the fic for this, the better! How their relationship progressed, whether platonic or romantic, father/son, friendship, slash, anything!

If you’d like to explore platonic or soft kink, d/s dynamics between Ramius and Jack (dominant Ramius, sub Jack), I would adore it. Jack experiencing sub drop in the immediate aftermath of everything and Ramius looking after him?

Anything that features Jack’s past injury/scars/chronic pain would be incredible. Anything about Marko coping with Borodin’s loss.

I also adore Bart Mancuso, so anything with him interacting with Ryan and Ramius, friendship, ot3, whatever works.

If you’d like to save Borodin and include him, ot4 or platonic, that would also be awesome!

The books cover some of the details of how Bell helped Doyle after Elspeth’s death, but how might this have gone in the show canon? The immediate aftermath, the days and weeks that followed?

I’ve also always loved the idea of them as platonic soulmates, including soulmate marks, etc.

What is Innes’ perspective on the Dr. Bell’s role in his brother’s life, in both their lives? What was it like growing up with the doctor as a tangential but crucial part of his world?

Not sure how I first thought of this, but lately I’ve been intrigued by what colour Joe Bell’s lightsaber would be, if they existed in a Star Wars AU.

Doc Martin (TV)

Characters: Martin Ellingham, Louisa Glasson, Al Large, Ruth Ellingham

Including Morwenna and any of the other characters would also be awesome!

This show is my happy place. It’s not perfect, by any means, some of the humour is occasionally in poor taste and the ways it addresses mental health issues, discussions of abuse and trauma, as well as neurodiversity are frequently frustrating and occasionally troubling. But the setting and the characters that populate that setting make it as comforting and cozy as a warm cup of tea, a good book, and a fluffy blanket on a cold, stormy night.

I particularly love the family that Martin has built, the community that he has found in Portwenn. I’d adore anything that shows the friendship between Al and Martin, which I’ve always found rather endearing and intriguing, how it's somewhat mentor like and somewhat family adjacent. They both respect each other as they are, and look out for each other in subtle ways, and I love that.

Cadfael Chronicles—Ellis Peters

Characters: Brother Cadfael, Hugh Beringar

Again, found family. The way that Cadfael and Hugh found each other, their instant connection, their loyalty and understanding of each other, the father/son dynamics of their relationship, the mutual respect, the uber competence and intelligence. Hugh whump with caretaker Cadfael, how gentle and firm and cuddly and stern he can be, would be amazing!

Just, all the hugs and feels with these two.

Hugh and Cadfael are locked in somewhere and have to figure their way out.

Five times they hugged and the time they cuddled.

Lost in Space (TV 2018)

Characters: John Robinson, Don West, Maureen Robinson, Grant Kelly

Three words. Found family feels. I adore every member of this family, including Robot, and anything that shows that bond between them all would be amazing.

A specific DNW for this fandom is the pairing of Don/Judy. I adore both their characters, but I see Don very much as the older brother/adopted son of the Robinson family, and prefer found family feels to romantic plots. I’d adore anything for these characters that involves the found family aspect. Post-canon of how they all became that family having dinner together.

How Don was adopted (officially or not) by the Robinsons.

Missing scenes of those ten months they spent together on that beach.

Grant bonding with his daughter and becoming part of the Robinson family along the way.

John and Maureen figuring out life how Alpha Centauri, now that they have five kids instead of three (counting Don and Robot).

They go back for Scarecrow and he gets adopted as well.

Diagnosis Murder

Characters: Mark Sloan, Jesse Travis, Amanda Bentley, Steve Sloan

There’s a theme here, I can sense it. Yeah, it’s found family again. This entire series is an exercise in found family, really, but I particularly adore anything about the first year(s) that Jesse joins the family, how he ends up staying over at the beach house so much, how he becomes the surrogate son/younger sibling of the group.

Jesse whump and BAMF, caring Mark would be incredible.

Mark teaching Jesse to cook.

Dear Yuletide Writer,

Wishing you a wonderful Yuletide! Thank you for writing for me, I’m so very, very excited! 😊 I will be honoured and super chuffed to receive and read anything for any of the following fandoms listed, and thank you for offering one of these awesome fandoms. I hope you have a wonderful Yuletide experience and season!

Over on AO3 I’m: DestielsDestiny and on Tumblr I’m: grippedbydestielfever.

DNWs: My biggest one is a focus on sexual content, such as porn, PWP kind of thing. Romantic relationships/content are fine, and sex scenes/sexual content are also fine, as long as they are not the sole focus on the story.

No unhappy endings please.

No non-con and no incest or underage (sexual content/contact of any kind, with anyone, where one or more of the characters is seventeen or younger) content, please.

No descriptions of torture.

Other than that, I’d prefer no major character death.

I’m a complete sucker for physical hurt/comfort, your classic character A is injured and character B find them/helps them/saves them. Particularly if there is a medical aspect involved, such as character B being a doctor (see fandoms below 😊).

In terms of physical hurt: character being impaled by something is a weird fave of mine.

A character having a chronic illness, such as asthma.

I have a weakness for stories where a character hides an injury and is discovered and helped.

Soft fics, particularly with cuddles—platonic cuddles, romantic cuddles, just all the cuddles, cuddle piles, all the hugs!

Bed-sharing, clothes sharing, intense hugs.

Characters being epic, particularly epically competent. Competence kink for the win!

Reunions, in any shape or form. Reunited after a long separation, soulmate fics where they find each other after years of searching, long-lost/unknown family members, any scenario really.

Daemon AUs, anything where the characters have daemons.

Bit random, but I adore vivid descriptions of scenery/landscape/wildlife.

All of the details/ideas/prompts I suggest for each fandom are entirely optional, I will love and adore whatever story you create, dear yuletide writer, please follow your passion and bliss and have a wonderful yuletide experience!

But I offer the above and the following as suggestions and ideas, in case they speak to you!

Fandoms

Murder Rooms: The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes

Characters: Joseph Bell, Arthur Conan Doyle, Elspeth Scott

Ever the sucker for H/C, I particularly love protective Bell and hurt Doyle, injured Doyle and Bell patching him up, anything of that sort.

In terms of specific prompts, I find the early development of their relationship, how they got to know each other, and their relationship developed, very intriguing. How did Bell first meet Innes, for example? How does Bell become aware of the details of their homelife?

The books cover some of the details of how Bell helped Doyle after Elspeth’s death, but how might this have gone in the series? The immediate aftermath, the days and weeks that followed?

I’ve also always loved the idea of them as platonic soulmates, including soulmate marks, etc.

Elspeth Scott is also a character that I adore intensely. An AU where she lived, where she got to know both Doyle and Bell better, where she became part of their found family, now what a world that would have been…

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003)

Characters: Jack Aubrey, Stephen Maturin

Two words. Jack Whump.

Their relationship, in the books and in the film, is one of endless fascination for me. Their love of learning, in different ways, their music, their pet names for each other!

Their first kiss? First hug? First time sharing a bed?

Shetland (TV)

Characters: Jimmy Perez, Duncan Hunter, Cassie Perez

I only found this show in the past year, drifted over from the Primeval fandom, and I fell rather instantly and intensely in love. With Shetland. With Jimmy. With Jimmy/Duncan.

I adore the aesthetic of the show, the quiet yet intense tone, the mournfulness mixed with hope, how Jimmy’s character seems to almost be a reflection of the landscape around him, at times.

I would adore any stories about Jimmy and Duncan’s relationship. Them co-parenting Cassie as an official couple, Cassie’s opinion on their relationship.

How they first got together, why. Who did they tell people, the community. Their wedding.

An established relationship story about the little intimacies of their relationship. What is their love language. Words, gestures, signs of affection.

Jimmy and Duncan sharing sweaters.

A platonic bedsharing fic that eventually blossoms into something more.

A story where Jimmy is grey-ace. A story where they form a queerplatonic relationship.

Walking on the beath in bare feet (and somehow not getting frostbite or hypothermia).

Stargazing. Something with birds.

Really, anything about these amazing islands and these amazing characters.

Dear Yuletide Writer,

Welcome to my first ever Yuletide Letter! I’ve been participating in this challenge in some fashion or other for several years now, and have loved every minute of it, but this is my first time writing an actual, proper letter 😊 I will be honoured and super chuffed to receive and read anything for any of the following fandoms listed, and thank you for offering one of these awesome fandoms. I hope you have a wonderful Yuletide experience and season!

If it’s useful, over on AO3 I’m: DestielsDestiny and on tumblr I’m: grippedbydestielfever.

Likes: Pretty much my favourite trope ever is found family. I love stories that explore intense emotional intimacy, particularly with platonic/friendship/familial relationships. I’m also a huge H/C fan, the more emphasis on the comfort part the better.

Fandoms

Murder Rooms: The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes

Characters: Joseph Bell, Arthur Conan Doyle

My love for both the books and the show is intense and ever-burning, as is my love for the relationship between Bell and Doyle. I very much see their relationship as father/son, found family, platonic friendship, but one of intense emotion and trust and love.

I’ve also always loved the idea of them as platonic soulmates, including soulmate marks, etc.

Anything for this fandom would be wonderful though!

But I’m a sucker for whump and h/c at heart, and Stephen’s work as a doctor is one which holds even more endless fascination for me, so the more whumped/hurt Jack is the better, particularly if there is a focus on Stephen fixing him afterwards!!!

All Souls Trilogy—Deborah Harkness

Characters: Philippe de Clermont, Matthew Clairmont

The first time I read Shadow of Night, Philippe de Clermont broke my heart. And as season 2 of the adaptation approaches, I know he’s going to break it all over again. His relationship with Matthew, as a father, is one of endless fascination for me. Anything with these two interacting would be amazing!!!

In terms of specific ideas, I’ve always been fascinated by the period right after Ysabeau sired Matthew, how his relationship with his new parents developed, what did their vampire parenting of him look like. If Ysabeau was included in the story, that would make my day!

Blade Runner (Movies)

Characters: Rick Deckard, K: Joe, Ana Stelline

The found family feels.

The angst, the h/c. Joe surviving, finding a family, a father and a sister.

Rescuing Deckard’s dog.

Details of patching Joe up, removing his tracker.

Can replicants suffer from hypothermia?

Joe trying to leave to protect them, leading to a plethora of group hugs.

Any of these, none of these, anything with these three would be amazing. The more feels inducing the better!

Ladyhawke (1985)

Characters: Philippe Gaston, Etienne Navarre, Isabeau d’Anjou

To be honest, I find this film a little more over the top dramatic and silly and endearing every time I watch it, and it makes me adore it all the more each and every time. I love the mix of drama and silliness, heartbreak and sweetness.

Anything focusing on the relationship between Philippe, Etienne, and Isabeau would be amazing! My favourite way of reading their dynamic is familial, with Philippe as the son/little brother they never had, the found family feels get me every time! OT3 is also amazing though, and the vibes are certainly strong with these ones!

Specific ideas/prompts, well…

Philippe struggling to accept his place in the family/triad, that they love him unconditionally.

Something that talks about/mentions the scars Philippe has on his chest from Navarre’s claws.

Something that delves into any of the characters’ pasts, and how this effects their relationships with each other.

Delving into the shifter aspect of the universe in more depth.

The Hunt for Red October (1990)

Characters: Marco Ramius, Jack Ryan, Bart Mancuso (optional)

This film is probably in my top five fav films ever. I love the relationship between Ramius and Jack that we see in the film, the intensity and the stakes, but also the humour and the trust, oh the trust is glorious!

The softer and more comforting the fic for this, the better! How their relationship progressed, whether platonic or romantic, father/son, friendship, slash, anything!
